Topographically, Jepara Regency can be divided into four main regions:

The coastal area along the West and North shores,
The lowland area in the central and southern parts,
The mountainous area in the East, which forms the western slopes of Mount Muria, and
The marine or island area in the north, which consists of the Karimunjawa Islands archipelago.

There is so much hidden and buried within the land and waters of Jepara Regency — from tourism, handicrafts, furniture, carvings, and signature Jepara cuisine, to vast marine resources, especially around Karimunjawa Island.
