Perhutani Pati Holds Joint Planting in Jepara to Commemorate Kartini Day
Perhutani, Pati Forest Management Unit (KPH Pati), held a joint tree-planting activity to celebrate the 477th Anniversary of Jepara Regency and Kartini Day 2026. The activity was carried out in collaboration with the Jepara Nature Lovers Community and the Subdistrict Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimcam) of Batealit in the Jepara area on April 19.
The tree-planting activity took place at the pioneer tourism site of Banyu Anjlok Waterfall, Plot 64, Batealit Forest Management Resort (RPH Batealit), Muria Patiayam Forest Management Section (BKPH Muria Patiayam), in Somosari Village, Batealit Subdistrict, Jepara Regency. The activity was attended by Perhutani, Forkopimcam Batealit, the Somosari Village Government, and the Jepara Nature Lovers Community, with a total of 62 participants. The types of trees planted included salam, tabebuia, gondang, and juwet, totaling 150 seedlings.
On this occasion, the Administrator of KPH Pati, Sukmono Edwi Susanto, through the Head of Batealit Forest Management Resort (RPH Batealit), Nur Hamid, expressed gratitude to all parties who had participated in this joint tree-planting activity.
“This activity is one form of collaboration in efforts to preserve forests and the environment in the Mount Muria area, which falls within the RPH Batealit territory. By planting trees around the waterfall, it is hoped that the forest and water springs in the area will remain protected. We protect nature, and nature protects us,” he said.
The chairperson of the event committee from the Jepara Nature Lovers Community, M. Ainul Muttaqin, stated that this activity represents the community’s concern and participation in celebrating the 477th Anniversary of Jepara Regency and Kartini Day, while also serving as a real effort in preserving the environment and water sources in Jepara Regency.
“This joint tree-planting activity is a concrete manifestation of our concern for environmental sustainability,” he explained.
Meanwhile, Batealit Subdistrict Head, Yenny Diah Sulistiyani, in her remarks expressed appreciation to Perhutani, the Somosari Village Government, and the Jepara Nature Lovers Community for their synergy in celebrating the Anniversary of Jepara Regency, which falls on April 10, and Kartini Day on April 21, through this joint tree-planting activity.
“In addition to playing a role in protecting the environment, this activity is also expected to introduce the potential of the pioneer tourism site of Banyu Anjlok Waterfall in Somosari Village to the wider Jepara community,” she explained.
