Need a fun vacation? Just come here—Pantai Bondo Jepara is one of the beaches located in Jepara Regency. Its white sand, clean water, and fresh air around the beach make it always crowded with visitors.

Pantai Bondo is one of the famous beaches in Jepara. It is located in Bondo Village, Bangsri District, Jepara. Pantai Bondo features white sand and calm waves. Its beauty is no less stunning than other well-known beaches in Indonesia.

For those of you who love beach tourism, you must miss the atmosphere of the beach—the sound of crashing waves, the gentle sea breeze that’s good for your health, and the beautiful scenery that can relieve boredom and increase gratitude.

Confused about where to go for a stroll or beach trip? Come on, head to Pantai Bondo Jepara. Bring your partner, friends, or neighbors. Besides being easily accessible, the cost is guaranteed to be affordable.

The afternoon weather was bright and sunny with a gentle breeze. Several tourists were seen swimming at the beach, and a couple was enjoying their vacation. Without hesitation, we approached Dodo and Narulita and asked where they were from, how they found out about Pantai Bondo, and how many times they had visited.

The woman from Pati said she has come here often with her partner. She first learned about Pantai Bondo from social media. Even though there are beaches in Pati, she prefers Pantai Bondo because it is cleaner.

We heard cheerful shouts from across the way. While waving, they called out, “Mas, come here, take our photo! How much does it cost?” We approached them and explained that we weren’t professional photographers. If they wanted photos, we could take them for free, and we would later upload them to our blog and social media.

It turned out they weren’t locals from Jepara. Bella and her five friends had traveled quite a distance from Purwodadi by motorcycle just to see the beauty of Pantai Bondo, which they learned about from “Mbah Google” or the internet. When asked how they managed to get here, they jokingly replied, “Using Google Maps, of course.”

Number of Visitors Keeps Rising

Pantai Bondo Jepara is becoming increasingly captivating. The number of tourists visiting has risen quite sharply. Data from the Jepara tourism website shows that in 2016, there were 12,015 domestic visitors and no foreign tourists. Meanwhile, in 2018, the Jepara Regency Central Statistics Agency recorded a total of 85,445 visitors to Pantai Bondo, consisting of 85,164 local/domestic tourists and 281 foreign tourists.

This increase in tourist visits cannot be separated from the role of tourism managers and stakeholders who care about tourism and the economy of the Bondo community in particular, and Jepara in general. Now, visitors can not only enjoy the beauty of Pantai Bondo but can also stay overnight there.

Pantai Bondo is not a new tourist spot in Jepara—it has been well-known for several years and is always crowded every afternoon, on weekends, and during national holidays.

In addition to being a recreational spot in Jepara, Pantai Bondo is also a culinary tourism destination. You can enjoy the signature Jepara dish pindang serani here. The fish used is always fresh, caught by local fishermen.

Enjoy Horseback Riding Tourism at Pantai Bondo Jepara

So far, Pantai Bondo and other beach tourist destinations in Jepara have mainly offered beautiful sunset views and stunning sand. Not many have offered something unique and interesting. To attract more visitors, tourism managers must be creative and offer new experiences that may not exist at other tourist spots.

A local resident came up with the idea of horseback riding along the beach. Although this may already exist at other beaches, it is still new and attractive at Pantai Bondo.

To ride a horse along Pantai Bondo, visitors are charged Rp 30,000, - maybe more right now for one round, covering a distance of about one kilometer.

Toni, one of the local horse rental service providers, said the idea to offer horse rides came about to attract more visitors. He currently has several horses available for rent. “During holidays or weekends, there can be more than 50 people riding horses,” he added.

Are you interested in riding a horse while enjoying the beauty of Pantai Bondo? Don’t forget to bring your friends, family, or relatives.

The large number of visitors and tourists uploading their photos on social media has made Pantai Bondo even more popular. Even on holidays such as Sundays, school holidays, or collective leave days, when thousands of visitors flock to the beach, you can spot several foreigners (bule) or international tourists.

This is understandable, because aside from being known as the city of carving (with many products exported abroad), Jepara has many amazing destinations. Several companies in Jepara also employ foreign workers.
